Money Market Accounts
If you need more liquidity then a certificate account, want to earn a slightly better rate of return than a regular savings and want to be able to write checks from your account, than a money market account is right for you.
Consider the following options, and you can maximize your earnings with a great yield while maintaining easy access to your funds.
If you’re building your financial reserves, our Money Market account is the right choice. It offers a low minimum opening balance of $2,500, and the rate you earn on your balance changes based on your average monthly balance.
* The Money Market Savings Account is a tiered variable-rate savings account. The minimum deposit required to open a Money Market Savings Account and earn dividends is $2,500. If the average daily balance for the month falls below $2,500, the APY (annual percentage yield) will be 0.00%.
If you’ve had a recent windfall, Investor’s Advantage provides liquidity while maintaining high yields. Investor’s Advantage offers a unique feature: rates can change weekly to reflect market conditions more closely.
** To open an Investor’s Advantage Account and earn dividends, the minimum deposit is $100,000. If the balance falls below $100,000, a fee of $25 will be assessed.
The funds deposited at Honda Federal Credit Union are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. That means it’s backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
We insure an additional $250,000 through American Share Insurance (ASI), a private insurance company.
