You can make unlimited withdrawals at any of the Honda FCU ATMs free of charge, but when you use ATMs owned by other financial institutions, you are allowed up to 10 withdrawals a month before being assessed a $1.50 per transaction charge. Other financial institutions may charge a fee, called a surcharge, but this is paid to the other financial institution up front, and will be disclosed to you at the time of the transaction. The 10 free foreign ATM transactions are not per account (i.e. Checking, Saving and VISA) but include all ATM transactions combined. What do I do if I lose my card? Notify Honda FCU immediately in order to protect your account from fraud and possible loss. We will block your card and order you a new one. There will be a fee of $5.00 charged to your account for card replacement. How much money can I withdraw at the ATM? Your maximum daily ATM withdrawal limit is $500.00. Your daily maximum POS (Point of Sale) withdrawal limit is $500. This means you can get up to $1,000 in cash each day. What is the difference between an ATM card and a VISA Check card? Both cards can be used at an ATM machine or a POS terminal in conjunction with a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to withdraw cash from your Credit Union account. The VISA Check card has the added benefit of working like a VISA card. It can be used for payment anywhere VISA is accepted. The merchant swipes your VISA Check Card, you sign the receipt and the funds are deducted from your checking account usually within 2-3 days. At a POS terminal, be sure to select ‘credit’ in order to use the VISA feature. How can I avoid ATM surcharges? You can use one of more than 16 Honda FCU ATMs installed on Honda property which are surcharge free. Also, you can use ATMs with CO-OP Network logo or the Alliance One logo surcharge-free. For security reasons, Honda FCU associates do not have access to your PIN. We can re-send it to you by mail or you can stop by one of the branches to pick your own PIN. What networks are my ATM or VISA Check card linked to? Your ATM or VISA Check card can be used at a MAC, Cirrus, Star, Plus, VISA, Alliance One, CO-OP Network and Member Access systems. The information is also on the back of your ATM or VISA Check card. The ATM ate my card, what do I do? If it was taken by a Honda FCU ATM machine, you can call and get your card from the Torrance or Marysville branch. If it was taken by another financial institution’s ATM, we may not be able to recover it. Please call the credit union to order a new one. How long does it take to receive my new card? About 7-10 days. Will my new card have the same PIN? Yes, if it is an ATM card only. VISA cards will have new PINs if card numbers have been changed. Unfortunately, no. Why does my receipt show two different balances? The lower balance is the available balance or that amount that is currently available for use and reflects any outstanding holds against your account. The higher balance is the total amount on which dividends/interest is calculated. |
