When we offer transactions on-line, Honda
FCU will use a complete set of security tools, including
cryptography, firewalls and trusted operating systems to make
sure that your transactions over the Internet will be both
secure and authentic. The multiple layers of security will
protect both your money and your confidential information from
any kind of tampering or theft.
For browsers, the two most common encryption
key lengths are "40-bit" and "128-bit." A 40-bit key can be guessed
within a few hours by an average personal computer (in less than one
minute by some). But, if you made a secure purchase with a browser
using 128-bit key encryption, it would take one billion powerful computers,
each capable of trying one billion keys per second, millions of years
to try every possible combination of bits in your 128-bit key!
So, 128-bit encryption is not just three times stronger than
40-bit encryption - it is 309,485,009,821,345,068,781,056
stronger. Now that's strong encryption!¹

Get It By Using A Browser That Supports 128-Bit Encryption," bLink Magazine,

In order for your computer to support the
security or the 128-bit encryption, you
must use one of the following browsers:
Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher
Microsoft Explorer 5.0 or higher
